The Barbadian chef highlighted the initiative “dine with a bajan” and the Barbados Food & Wine Festivaltwo proposals that allow visitors to immerse themselves in local culture through its cuisine.

An intimate experience in Barbadian homes
“I want to present one of the initiatives we have: ‘dine with a bajan’ where you can go to one of the homes of Barbadians and experience the authentic cuisine of the island step by step,» explained the chef. This proposal offers a genuine cultural immersion, away from the traditional tourist circuits, and allows travelers to learn about the culinary secrets passed down from generation to generation.

“We are the culinary capital of the Caribbean«, stated Callendar with pride. The island has worked for years to position its gastronomy as a central attraction, with an offer that combines tradition, innovation and fresh, local products.
An invitation to the November festival
The chef also extended an invitation to Barbados Food & Wine Festivalwhich is celebrated in November of each year. “There you can experience the authentic, very innovative cuisine that we have developed with all our chefs,” he noted. The festival brings together local and international chefs and is considered one of the most important gastronomic events in the Caribbean.
